The Long Beach Water Department provides water and sewer services to nearly half a million people through more than 90,000 service connections for the City of Long Beach. LBWD installs, maintains and improves the city’s water distribution and sanitary sewer systems through ongoing capital construction projects. Smith-Emery inspects projects on an on-call basis for the department, testing and inspecting projects such as cast iron main replacements, pipeline improvements, water and wastewater treatment plants, sewer lift stations, and other capital improvements.
