The $15 million upgrade to the Carmel District’s Wastewater Treatment Plant included replacing existing infrastructure dating to the 1970s and 1980s. Among the upgrades are new Electrical Switchgear, Digester, Disinfection System, Aeration equipment, and Dewatering equipment, as well as numerous electrical and water system improvements. The facility collects, treats and disposes of wastewater for 15,000+ people.
