The existing Southeast Plant (SEP) solids treatment facilities will be replaced and relocated through the Biosolids Digester Facilities Project (BDFP). By modernization and upgrading technologies, the plant will become a reliable, efficient recovery facility, constructed to meet current seismic standards. It will produce higher quality biosolids, capture and treat odors more effectively, maximize biogas utilization and energy recovery for the production of heat, steam, and energy. The project also moves the digesters farther away from existing residences.
