Description

The Village is a 24-unit residential complex offering a mix of affordable and market-rate housing and three-level, below-grade parking garage. There is 20,000 square feet of stores, restaurants, walkable plazas and gardens. This three-acre site is located in the heart of Santa Monica’s Civic Center off Ocean Avenue which is adjacent to the town City Hall and Courts, hotels, and commercial structures. The building was constructed of precast concrete to handle the large wind loads from the Pacific Ocean. A textured, rib-pattern was used near the windows to evoke feelings of the nearby ocean.
