Southwest has revamped its LAX home. Upgrades include a more open ticketing lobby, an an automated system to handle checked bags and numerous structural improvements, including a new facade and seismic retrofitting. The $508 million project includes new passenger check-in areas, aircraft parking, and upgraded TSA screening lines. The roadways were improved to help with the flow of traffic.
