Smith-Emery Laboratories includes five certified materials testing laboratories. Under the direction of our civil engineers, technicians test all construction materials including concrete, grout, mortar, cable, rebar, steel “I” beams, asphalt, soils, and aggregates.

We also provide testing services for building faces, tiles, marble, granite, roof materials, skylights, Jacuzzi's bathtubs and sinks.

Metallurgical services are also available under the direction of a professional metallurgical engineer.

Smith-Emery Laboratories remains the only Commercial Independent Testing Laboratory that is owned and managed by a Registered Civil Engineer.
